RT BOOK REVIEW

Genre: Mystery

FORMAT: HARDCOVER, PAPERBACK AND DIGITAL

Review:

This is an appealing mystery that is suspenseful enough to keep readers engaged, but not so much as to lose sleep over. Crime-fighting duo Mattie Lu Cobb and her K-9 partner Robo are bright, daring and intuitive, and Robo’s character adds a fun dynamic to the story. Mizushima does an excellent job of developing them as characters, allowing readers to feel a personal connection to them both. Overall a great debut for an up-and-coming mystery writer. Mattie Lu Cobb and her canine partner Robo are fresh out of the K-9 training academy. When they get a call to investigate suspicious behavior in the mountains outside their rural Colorado town, they are both excited to put their skills into action. However, when Robo discovers the body of a young girl, the town is devastated. Working together, Mattie and Robo must uncover who killed this girl and why before the killer strikes again.
