C.Thomas (Tom) Berte is a lawyer at the world’s most prestigious law firm, Balatoni, Cartel, & Colin (BCC). Imagine his surprise when, midway through a case, the managing partner of the firm recommends him to the US Justice Department to replace the Executive Deputy Attorney General. At first hesitant, Tom agrees. Within days of joining, he is tasked with finding and arresting one of the world’s most heinous criminals, Cosimo Benedetto. As he digs deeper into this man’s past, he learns shocking secrets that will change his life forever. As a man of conviction and honor, will he stick to his morals, or will he waver at the most crucial moment? Can he catch this criminal before any harm comes to him and his family? You’ll need to read The Manipulator by Dan Buzzetta to find out.

I loved everything about The Manipulator. From the moment I picked it up, I couldn’t put it down. It’s an absolute page-turner. While you may think you know what’s going on, not everything is as it seems, and the surprises keep coming. I respected Tom’s commitment to his job and his country, and his determination to always do the right thing. This book made me physically react; I gasped, I cheered, and I welled up at times. Dan Buzzetta has a knack for drawing the reader into the story and not letting them leave until the final sentence. As a first novel, this is excellent storytelling and writing, and I can’t wait to read the following two novels in the series. I highly recommend this book to thriller readers, especially those who love plots involving the law and the US justice system.
